Well I got tired of having to worry about just how strong my battery was going to be when it was time to fire it off. The engine compression is higher than normal, coupled with the PVL needing every ounce of power it can get and a bud blowing a coupler hose I decided to do something about it.
I decided to run a BRP battery, the cranking capacity went from 310 to 560 and 610 if you run with the gel battery.
I cut the back section of the tray and slid the battery back into place and tested for fitment.
After covering the battery in wax paper I sprayed the filler inbetween the battery and battery box.
Modified cover fit just fine on the new battery and I was able to use the factory tie down.
The exhaust pipe fits perfectly into place and it fires off in what seems to be 1 revolution.
Best thing I've done so far.
