Thanks Beerdart for the great information. It has already helped me on numerous occasions. I'm currently working on a 96 SLTX and two SL 750's. A gentleman from Oklahoma recommended this site and has proven to be very informative.

I am trying to download the PDF of the service bulletin's and the link seems to be broken. (http://pwcmanuals.shorturl.com/)

I am trying to remove the Auto Cock per service bulletin PWC-95-03, and can't find the actual Bulletin.

If someone has the Bulletin and could post it, that would be awesome or if that link could be fixed.

My ski won't rev over 5000 RPM but when you hit a big wave it goes up to like 6900?? Do you guys think that would be my problem, the ski has done this since 1996 when we got it new, it has had countless mechanics work endless hours trying to fix it.

1996 polaris sly 780 troubleshoot?

Hey how you doing. I have a 1996 polaris slt 780 and i just recently changed out the switch,magnetic relay and now the ski wont even turn over. Its not the starter cause we turned it over with a remote starter switch. Could it be the lanyard or the starter switch and how do i throuble shoot that?
