Who has the equipment to recurve ignition timing on domestic red engine PVL CDI?
I do not need this for myself. Well, only indirectly.
I am mostly interested in putting together a list of who has the ability and perhaps is willing to recurve the PVL CDI for others as a service.
Secondly I might be interested in examining a system and documenting how it actually works.
Who is willing to admit they have the adapter and software to adjust timing curves on domestic CDI?
I know a number of these have changed hands and many seem to have gone into hiding, or perhaps become lost/damaged.
My understanding is that PVL in Germany is still willing to sell the 'kit' (software plus hardware) for something near $500. At the moment I don't even remember what the official name for it is
Some of the units included additional custom tuned timing curves, such as those developed by Randy and some from the Polaris racing efforts. These would be curves tested and proven on certain engine/exhaust combinations, such as the tuned triple pipes and some race configurations. I do not know if anyone has collected a semi-complete library/collection of these curve files.
