Hi, I have an 99 slth 700. I just bought the machine a few weeks ago with an seized engine. I got it freed up and was running it yesterday, it was doing well till it stopped. got it home and discoverer the cdi box had melted a hole in the cover. It still has the gen 2 system ( or is it gen 1) the part number on the box is 4060148, 2 questions, could there be something wired wrong or the stater bad to cause it to burn like that? Also does anyone have or know where to get one? I found one on Ebay for $385 plus $55 in shipping.
