I think your SL650 hull is SMC material (Sheet Molded Compound). It is not fibreglass.

SMC can be repaired using epoxy resin and glass cloth.

I have posted info regarding repair of Yamaha NanoXcel hulls. The repair methods for SMC are quite similar.

I am sure there are also threads in the Polaris forum describing how to repair the SMC hulls.

The cast aluminum ride plate damage may not need to be repaired, unless the damage causes the hull to ride or handle strangely.

How to repair a deep scratch in the hull

Yesterday as the tide was recessing, the bottom of my SL650 hit a submerged rock making a deep scratch in the hull, starting at the front of the intake grate down to the ride plate. The ride plate is dented and has a small crack. My questions:
    1) Can the scratch be repaired with fiberglass and how?
    2) Should the ride plate be replaced or can it be repaired?
    Thanks
