  • SL900 spark plug wire locations

I have a SL900. Can the plug wires go on any cylinder? I thought I read somewhere that all spark plugs fire together at the same time.

On the Red engines only the two cylinder engines with updated Gen III ignition use the wasted spark system.

All the blue Fuji engines also use wasted spark system.

Those are the engines that do not care which plug wire goes to which cylinder.

For the red 900cc and 1050cc engines, there are two possible firing orders for the crankshaft. And two different ignition coils which have different firing order of the plug wires.

If you are not sure which plug wire is supposed to go to which cylinder, use the one-cylinder-at-a-time method. Always first test with the MAG cylinder. Method has been posted on here and should be findable with search.
