Trim motor gears

  • Trim motor gears

    alright so I took apart my trim motor to replace the main exit shaft and when i opened it, the gears went everywhere and i cant figure out how to get them back together correctly. anyone done this before possibly have a picture?

    I haven't done it in a while, but pretty sure there was only one way that they would go together and work - like a puzzle / ill see if I took any pics

      Ya im seeing that, i got it back together and it does work but its a fast trim and BOY it moves twice as fast as a fast trim! i have one more idea is the bottom part i used is black, not white, the white ones look twice as large as the black ones, therefor correct me if im wrong i would think it would move slower then with the larger diameter part, this is the part that you bolt the trim linkage to, if i cant figure this out im going to be int he market for another fast trim as the MFD i have is a 12 pin fast trim, and I DO like the MFD,

            Your very welcome, the only thing hard to see in this picture is two of the gears have little collars or spacers, the top right one is fairly clear to see the spacer. Hope you didn't loose those.
