  • Domestic ignition kits

If you guys want Polaris ignition kits you should get someone on the board to write a letter to Scott Wine the Polaris CEO and maybe they will do something.

Last fall they were going to order more parts for the domestic ignitions and were given all the part numbers that were needed for a "lifetime" build. But they never followed through and when asked in the beginning of the season about them was told that the purchaser had contacted PVL and they were willing to make the kits but never actually ordered them.

If someone on here was to compose a blanket letter to Polaris explaining what the board is about(pretty much has taken over as tech service for Polaris PWC) and how much we all love these American built PWC's maybe they will listen. I do not think that the CEO knows if this.

Please keep it civil and clean. You get more flies with honey than vinegar......

Could a moderator please sticky this?

    Jay

Here is Scott Wine's email address:

So Scott Wine does not know about the still enthusiastic following for Polaris watercraft, or he does not know about the specific parts non-availability?

Yes both. I am sure he is not looking over every part number and since they have not made a PWC in almost ten years we are almost forgotten about so as BryanP said both.

Now is your chance to stop getting raped by ebay sellers for ignition kits. To pay 800.00 for a ignition kit is crazy in my book.

Ok I have said my piece about ignition kits. I dont want to hear anybody cry when they cant get one or have to pay double what they sold for. Seems like not too much interest in the subject.

You just posted this thread at lunchtime today!

Personally I have been pondering what I might say in my own message to Mr. Wine, while I have been doing other tasks.

I think we definitely need to point him to this forum. I plan to point out that it seems like a daily occurrence that there are people who come here with problems who need ignition kits. These kits are really the only difference between keeping our machines running or not. Let's all put our heads together and come up with a few points to put in an email and hopefully we can get enough people on board with this. Look how fast the last batch of kits sold out. I don't think it even took 2 years.
