2015 7th Annual Midwest Polaris (and friends) Gathering, Harsens Island MI July 23-26

Last year's food costs ran about $400 for the gathering. Bear in mind that some of us brought baked goods and other treats and didn't ask or expect to be paid for them. By my calculation that was well over $100 saved courtesy of a few people. I assume this to happen again this year.

I have the grocery receipts and the list of what was actually consumed so we can tweak the grocery shopping accordingly. Having a Kroger card helps as well.

I will gladly do the shopping again this year. If you plan to bring a "food donation" to the gathering please let me know well ahead of time, so I can shop and plan meals accordingly.

And yes, wild blueberries and maple syrup for pancakes will be coming with me.

I will be most likely bringing a grill since there is not one on site to use. I will buy a nice tabletop Weber grill to bring.

Who gets the rooms? It would be nice if whoever takes the rooms this year sleep outside the next year. That way everyone gets a room wih air and a large bed. Sound fair?

Ive been in a tent the last 2 years. And this year we'll be in a tent as I mentioned in the poll thread. Next year id like a room . Thats cool the whole house has air.

The house sounds sweet. A real house this time! Dock looks long too. We will be real close to minnichs bait shop down the river. They have gas. I dont think premium though. Premix 50/1 gas a 87 oct. and maybe straight 87 or 89 oct.
