I was changing my flush kit on my 99 1050 project and the brass fitting that screws into the water rail broke off inside the rail. Has anyone had any luck getting these out or should I just grab a rail off of eBay? This was literally the last thing I had to do for dropping her in the water for the first test drive.

Drill it out, little by little, until you start seeing the threads. Then use a screw driver and hammer to chisel some of the brass away at the top. Finish by running the 1/8" NPT tap through it. And remember that pipe threads are tapered, so your drill bits will hit aluminum at the bottom of the hole before the top.
I just did exactly what I described twice on Friday...

Thanks. I'll give it a shot if I can get my hands a tap that big.
