2016 Watercraft Ride for Dad charity, request for donations
Each summer M447 and K447 participate and support the Watercraft Ride for Dad charity.
100% of the donations go to support men's prostate cancer research and education.
This is the only charity that I ask others to contribute to, and only for a short time each year.
The majority of watercraft enthusiasts are male and we are all susceptible to this.
If either of us have been able to help you in some way through these forums, I ask that you now consider making a donation.
Note: If you are in Canada you will receive a tax deductible donation receipt.
For those in USA or elsewhere outside Canada, even without the tax deduction, you can still donate.
If you would rather use PayPal or some other method to donate, please send me a Private Message
Please click this link to support our ride;
Thank you for your donation,
K447

Others are welcome to join on the ride.
Big Rideau lake is an excellent destination for a day's riding, worth the drive from Toronto, Ontario cottage country or the Ottawa area.
Stay overnight in Perth and you can also ride the Thousand Islands, St. Lawrence or Bay of Quinte (Belleville) waters on Saturday or your way home on Sunday.
If you do not wish to collect donations you can pay an entry fee on site, which includes lunch and joining in the actual ride.
July 16, 2015
Registration 10:30 a.m.till noon.
Lunch during registration.
Ride departs at noon
Rideau Ferry Harbour:
110 Coutts Bay Road
Rideau Ferry (south of Perth - Ontario)
The launch area will be busy so arrive early, give yourself plenty of time to get launched, docked, parked and eat lunch. Plenty of dock space, parking, bathroom facilities. There are picnic tables but bring a few folding camp chairs if you have them.

We pay for all our own expenses, fuel, lodging, etc.
The personal donations go 100% to the charity.
Corporate sponsors cover much of the back office overhead plus the overhead of the major ride events.
I want to thank everyone who supported our ride last year.

Good luck with the fund raising.

I ask that after donating you post a short note here just so I can acknowledge your support.
If you prefer to remain anonymous that is just fine, of course.

The ride date is next month. Looking for others to step up here.
Each donation helps to remind others to 'get around to it' and make their own contribution.
