Everyone is loading trailers and is off the water, waiting for the results to be announced.

Good ride, weather was reasonable, just some clouds and light breeze.

        Thank you for your Generosity

        Hi Everyone.

It's been a busy time since the 2016 Watercraft Ride for Dad and I now have some time to say a wholehearted thank you to all of you who supported my Ride this year. I'm so humbled and appreciative of your support. Because of you, I was the #1 fundraiser again this year and I beat my total from last year.

I have now raised over $11,000 for this charity since I started the ride 5 years ago. I am now a Diamond Level fundraiser, which I am very proud of. Thank you for helping me get there.

I write a Thank You letter which I send out to my supporters. I don't have a way of connecting some of your screen names with your real names. Therefore I am posting my Thank You letter here for you, my supporters and also for everyone else to see what we do at the Watercraft Ride for Dad. You can click on the attached pdf file to read it. It's 2 pages.

We are not able to ride in the event for 2018.

For everyone who wants to support us, and the cause, please donate to our friend Rob. Pay no attention to his modestly posted 'goal', let's push this thing way over the top

You can mention K447 or M447 with your donation, or not, as you prefer.

Thank you to anyone who donates and everyone who has donated in the past!

Hey K447, what are the details around the ÔÇ£Ride for DadÔÇØ this year... I see July 14, 2018 is the day. And it looks like it starts from Rideau Ferry somewhere near the boat ramp? And it goes into Westport... thus through the Narrows Lock (for the photo highlight).

We would be arriving by water as our cottage is on the Rideau, just south of Newboro Locks. What time should we meet up at Rideau Ferry?

I am not able to join the charity ride his year.

More details on this year's ride can be found here.

You can fund raise prior to the ride day, or you can just pay the entrance fee for the ride. Fund raising take more time and effort but gives more to the charity than just the fee. Or you can donate to Rob and then just pay the entry fee on the day.

Lunch is included, before the actual ride begins. For people that arrive with a trailer, I suggest you arrive at or before 10:30am, so that you have enough time to actually launch. There will be a long line up at the ramp.

Arriving by water around 11:00 should work out about right. Find the registration tent, then enjoy the included lunch. There is plenty of dock space, but you may want to select a finger away from the launch ramp action.
