So I picked up a 2000 virage tx 1200 brought it home cranked an no spark... CDI box full of water. So Ive been looking for CDI problem is CDI in it is 4010379 it's a carbureted machine an I'm being told that is wrong by SBT they say it's 4010317. But I've read that both will work in it. If anyone has advice or a CDI they can sell me I'd be very happy.

Welcome to GreenHulk.
Polaris Assemblies (polarisind.com)
Click on above link. At some point the ski probably left the factory with the 317.?? 23 years ago??. But Polaris says the 379 replaces 317-so really just a moog point.
SBT only sells the 379 for the 1200's. All 1200 CDI' are really close in terms of curve ( depending on weight) and there really aren't any options left, other then reprograming.👍 1 -

There are a couple things that could keep the CDI from working. There are many threads with tests, also a test for what I think is the most common weak spot of the gen3 CDI.Comment

Yes I'm pretty good with testing electrical. Found a used CDI from a company on eBay with electric box for 350 only thing I seen different is plug in for bilge pump. said it came out of a 02 tx 1200 carb part numbers matched mine just a little different ground connections in it. For the 90 day warranty an that price I bought it.Comment
