99 sltx wonÔÇÖt rev past 5300 in water

My 99 sltx won't rev past 5300 in water . Goes to 6800 on trailer . Changed plugs , middle cyl looked wet after ride . Gotta be a carb issue ? spark looks good . not sure if I should send carbs out or try to rebuild myself . Also has gray fuel lines . Gonna change them out .

Check your compression...betting one cylinder is really low. If compression is good on all three, see if you have spark on all three.

So I rebuilt carbs and did ignition upgrade . Still not perfect but a lot better . Revs to 6300 @53mph gps . What should it rev to ?

6400-6500 rpm.
Compression was already suggested.

Pretty sure I checked compression last fall, but I’ll check it again . I’m gonna put fresh plugs in it . Gas was pretty old also . Still has a water leak after doing thru hull bearing, and the Speedo is whacky , just displaying Random numbers

Did the compression check . 120 on all 3
