I had only seen the one from Pelican Rapids, but they don't ship internationally. I don't use Ebay too much and so do struggle with trying a search, often only come up with new items, not used!
I have just tonight ordered 1 from the Jetski Parts Guy, from a 95 750. They will test before shipping, but it looks very clean and tidy. Hopefully they will ship tomorrow , still be a bit of a wait though.
I would agree regarding all 780 or 785. On the 780 stator, the 3 cream colored coils are for generating spark ( I think), I see on the 785 they are opposite each other, so the correct flywheel would need to be used.
Cost is very similar, I decided to go with what is known to work, I don't think I would be able to send the parts back if it didn't.

Does it cost more to buy the 785 magneto and flywheel VS. buying one from ebay?

The best I can offer you is these pics. It's a 785 magneto next to a 750 magneto. And the flywheel is a 785 so you can compare it to yours. I don't think you can mix and match the 785 and 780. I'm going to say it's all 780 or all 785.

I have been looking at different threads, it looks like SL70 stators and flywheels will work in a 785 pro ok, but haven't been able to find if someone has fit a pro stator to a 750/780. I am guessing it will work, but has anyone done this before? The guy has a flywheel as well, but wants $400 NZ for both, so would like to be as sure as possible...

Maybe something to do with timing? I'll ask if has a flywheel to match.

I want to say yes, BUT..... I believe you would want the flywheel from the 785 PRO to go with it. I don't remember why though.

I have been offered a 785 PRO stator, by a guy here in NZ! Test values are different, but are they compatible with the SLX780 system?

Thank you, your manual must be more detailed than what I have, my electrical drawings are just line with color coding. I have seen a few online, OEM have the cast numbers opposite the trigger that aftermarket don't appear to have. With the terminal info will make it easier. I get one and post back with how it goes.
