How to test CDI, Magneto stator coils & Hall Effect sensors on domestic engines

Looks like the meter reading is 13 M ohms (aka 13 million ohms, 13 Meg-ohms).

Such a high ohms measurement can also be affected by skin contact on the meter probes or the wire ends.

That reading is essentially 'no connection', which is within spec for that measurement, IIRC.

You can use the single-cylinder-at-a-time test to determine which plug wire fires which cylinder.

Figure out which plug wire (by itself) will start and run (roughly, of course) the front cylinder. Mark that wire, disconnected it and set it aside.

Find which plug wire will run the middle cylinder, all by itself. Mark that wire, disconnect and set aside.

Then connect the remaining plug wire to the rear cylinder. It should also start and run, by itself. Mark that wire.
