  • 08 supercharger oiler mod

I searched and came up with nothing.

Anyone got a link to converting 07 and earlier pto covers to using 08 oiler mod?

    Thanks

        Thanks guys.
Exactly what I was looking for, to confirm tap sizes.
Not sure why search did not pull that up?
it should have the way I searched.

A few nice mods to be had when someone goes Turbo.
              Thanks

Kinda funny, I've been running my 2 rude with 07 super charger shaft and no 08 oiler mod with excellent holding slip.

Figured I might as well upgrade with oiler mod for 3 rude and 08 SC shaft setup.

one thing I did one my second modded cover was to sort of mask off the rest of the internals with saran wrap. All the shavings from drilling where a PITA to clean out the first time so I decided to cover everything up the second time. It worked out very well . Also, make sure you clean out that oil passage very well. Take out the pipe plug and get the carb cleaner straw right down that passage

Thinks for the tip. I was thinking something along those lines looking at the pto cover on the bench.

thats why you fill the drill and taps with grease, the shavings wont be flying then, works every time

On the m10 bolt can you go to deep?
It looks like is going to bottom out on tap before I can get it threaded enough for bolt to lock down.
There s no washer, just oiler bolt and arm.?

Not really, as the tap will bottom out first. The M6 is the one you gotta be careful with, as you have to drill that hole... and can go through the back of the cover.

no you cant go too deep, ever!!!!

the tap will bottom out but on the m6 i just measured the bolt length and tape off the drill bit so you dont go too deep
