My 04 pump is metal.
Maybe the difference between black and cast.
I know my 04 is black and the latter years have no paint.RXP 80+ mph stock ecu - 2Rude

I think they are all black. I have an 05 and its black too. On yamaha they have a crappy 155 pump and an HO 155 pump. I just got done building a quick Yamaha and when I saw these part number changes I was thinkin maybe seadoo had a good pump and a crappy pump too but I could not find any info on them being different.IF YOU'RE NOT LIVING ON THE EDGE YOU'RE TAKING UP TOO MUCH SPACE!Comment

painted black vs. an almost clear coat to the bare casting. The painted black 1's are the earlier 1's. They are interchangable
