How much speed/quickness gain w/ X-SC on 185 ski?

Just wondering if I put a X-SC on my 185 SC ski (with proper 17 tooth gear) will it be much quicker than stock SC? At the same time, I will be installing 4" kanaflex intake and taking out all the restrictive stock exhaust and installing a custom, aluminum waterbox.

Are you still using the stock ECU with the 7650 rpm limit? If so, IMO you wont see a lot of change due to low rpm / boost. With a re-flashed ECU and some other smart mods, such as an external IC you would see huge gains. Take a look at my GTX 185 signature below.

Using stock ECU. Gonna put a manifold and internal cooler on it from 215HP. Has wedge but will probably need to change Solas 12/20.

You will see FAR better gains with an external IC vice the internal OEM 215 IC setup. This has been discussed at length on this forum. Yes it is very crowded in the hull, just like a 08 RXT-X, but it really woke mine up.

Another option is to get a stock 215 ECU which has a 8100-8200 rpm limit. Several 185 owners have gone that route, even with the cast pistons with great results. Read through Jeremy's 185 build thread and you will gain lots of insight: http://www.greenhulk.net/showthread.php?t=61053
