  • Rxt prop help

I want to run a RR wheel and 2mm spacer and was wondering what prop i should be running, right now i am at 8150 Rpm on stock prop with stock supercharger, 68 with XS Intercooler.

14/19 w/ an 82 ring and slight pitch added to trailing edge got my GTX to 72 at 8100 w/ no cavitation and RIPPED through the mid range-- I was very impressed. The stocker impellers can be tweeked to give same or very sim peak speed, but the bottom end snap and mid range pull will not be there-- my experience after multiple impeller tweeks and changes. For a stock machine the stock impeller was very good. If you don't run the nozzle ring it is not the end of the world-- it helped with the very minimul cavitation from an idle and helped bring the RPM down slightly.

As Jim said, the 14/19R on the RXT works great with that level of boost you will be running

would a 15/20 prop work with a few mm taken down to inprove rpm? would this give to the same power and pull in midrange as the 14/19?

The 15/20 will work fine, but you will need to remove some pitch as you stated. It is probably a better option as it leaves you more room to tweak the prop if you do more mods down the track.

My ski is an 03 GTX 185 with an 04 GTX 185 motor, x charger with 17 tooth gear, XS intercooler, RXP ecu w/ harness and RXP FPR w/ the 5/16" line from tank to rail, 42 lb. injectors, 05 RXT drive shaft setup so that I could use the 159 impellers, 160 degree thermo, 82 nozzle ring, STOCK intake grate, CAI, ride plate holes are not filled. I tried a stock 255 impeller which would be close to a 15/20 and my machine turned into a TURD-- it would not pull it-- it felt so poor that I did not even consider repitching.
