  • Now I'm confused

    Guys

Advice please I've read loads of topics and stuff with regards to modding my ski. I have a GTR 215 but where do I start!

I've got myself confused from Athens to rude to xxx, then intakes ride plates etc etc

I want to achieve a bit more speed and better handling I suppose.

Just in a muddle now lol any advise from you (sensible) would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

There area few guys who have done some moding but they seem to hit a wall at 69mph???? Not sure if it is the hull design keeping them back or what....
2012 RXPX--Thanks to Macc Racing and WRT for all the help!

Ok thanks for that, it reaches nearly that out of the box so I'm wondering if its worth it then, we are getting a 2nd ski as well so I'm thinking ill get a 260 and let the wife have the gtr then. Maybe try the S3 hull.

Hello, you stated nearly 69 mph on a stock ski with no mods and yet on a GTX no less? Note that is darn fast ! Is that on your ski speedometer? If you were to GPS your speed I am sure we are now talking about 10 miles per hour or more less .... No shit . Get a GPS, about $100. to start, and start tracking your true speed ... then when you start modding any ski ... you will know your success. Good luck

There is lots of info to be learned in this thread

The first step would be a reflash of your stock ECU

            install this impeller

Install an air intake kit. I recommend a 4"
This it contains all the parts needed for you to build your own custom 4" air intake kit. The installation of this 4" air intake typically provides a 1.5+ MPH gain and a 150+ RPM gain. It's a substantial increase over the stock air intake system and even an improvement over a 3" system. It's the most effective air intake for getting power out of the motor in any water condition, safely and efficiently without fear of water ingestion. Note: due to the large oil cooler on the 300 engine the Kanaflex tube must be routed on top of the engine. This kit is a universal kit giving you the basic components to retrofit a 4" air intake system to your ski. This kit contains the following components: 7 Feet of Kanaflex HoseR&D Supercharger adapter for 300 SuperchargerK&N Stainless Steel Marine Filter4" stainless steel spool to connect hose to filter3 x 4" hose clampsRectifier bracket to remount rectifier It's recommended to also use a catch can when installing any aftermarket air intake kit. The Riva catch can is sold separately in this store.

You also need a catch can with the air intake kit

Right ok that's great thanks will get one next pay day. I thought it was a bit odd why do people spend all this cash for little or no gain. That explains it will have a look into which one to get. Thanks for the info.

What about the new RIVA Athena module... I mean, I agree with getting the 260, but the module might go a long way with the 215?
