Impeller gauge ????

  • Impeller gauge ????

    I'm trying to understand how this gauges work? This impeller suppost to be a 14/19 but the freaking lines don't line up to 14/19!! What am I doing wrong? Can someone share some info on this?

      You only measure the first 1" for each measurement. So looking @ the pics its a 14/17.. Dont get worried about your number (Its just a number) its just your base point to tuning. IE: if you are on the limiter add pitch etc....

        Ok got it! But why would the prop have a 19 when it really isn't ?

          Like I said all props need a # but different manufactures and tuners use different #'s for there reference. One manufacture 14/19 is not the same as another. Its just a number to start tuning from. Just like my 15/22 will not be the same as someone elses 15/22 and it does not matter as long is you know your number and where you are heading.
