  • 400 Hours/26 months - 2010 FX SHO Original Clutch, Never a Repair

Just for grins I'm posting this over here on the Seadoo side of the world. Having just bought a new RXP-X I'm looking forward to seeing the same durability and even better performance than this machine.

Not sure if this is a milestone or not but I thought I'd throw it out there as a testament to the reliability of these skis. 400 hours of very hard riding mostly in the Gulf of Mexico but also all over the state of Florida from the St. Johns to the Suwanee River and down to the Everglades. About to make the jump to Grand Bahama island from Boynton Beach. Will easily be 500 by the end of July.

      Yes, similar experience here.

Stock FZ, riva air filter, ribbon gone, r&d bov, r&d plate, sponsons, 400+ hrs (been through 2 batteries) nothing wrong yet

Built FZ, 3 s/ch touch downs, 2 broken shafts, blown motor, 37 sprag clutches (yes) pump bearings, sinking. 80 hours.

New 2013 RXPX - i/cooler leak, throttle body gone, charger slipping - Box Stock. NB. Awesome to ride

Next Ski will be the Ultra, I'll give it a go

Whoa...Scotch...you and I think too much alike.

But I hope I don't have the problems you have had with the P-X. None of those that have them that I ride with have reported any problems. Hopefully yours are sorted out.

Its not the clutch as much as the bearings that i would be worried about at them kind of hours....

Nothing was wrong when I decided to rebuild.. Was running like a top.. Just decided to refresh it because I knew I wanted to get another 400+ out of it and I knew it wouldnt last forever.. Chris (Slow 91) did find a snapped valve spring though.. So I guess I was flirting with disaster and I'm glad I made the decision to go ahead with the rebuild, who knows how long that was like that or how long it would take to cause damage.. At 145 hours I wasn't worried at all, I knew I would be over 500 before the end of this season.. you should have a lot of more ride time if you are keeping up on maintenance!

I had to pull my SC on the 2012 PX at 19 hrs and WFO re-set the slip. At 72 hrs now with no problems. I know SD says 200 hrs now before rebuild, but as others have said I will do it at 100.
2017 RXPX - add on wheelie bars
2013 RXTX - custom muffler bearing

2003 GPRXP - hybrid, runs on 93 octane or sweet tea
