  • 17 rxpx 300 ski mods a question that hasnÔÇÖt been asked

I purchased a 17 seadoo rxpx 300 new last year. Saved up some money an looking to install a few mods. I'm only looking to Install riva scom, riva power filter kit, riva rear exhaust kit. I also might upgrade the intercooler hoses to the new riva silicon intercooler hoses. I kno there's no big gains on intercooler hose for the couple of mods I want but if anything it will look nicer under the seat. So the question is do I have to buy a tuner like a map x tuner for the following mods that I want to install To see any gains in performance. I'm not looking to be the fastest on the river by far. I'm just looking for a little more pull on the hole shot an if I could gain a little more mid range An top end I would be happy as well. But I'm not looking to spend thousands of dollars either. so with the mods I want to install will I see any performance gains with out the tuner. Or do u need a tuner along with the mods mentioned above to see any real performance gains. Plus side if I do need a tuner for the gains I don't need to buy the riva scom. Sorry for the long post an thanks in advance for any info u can give me

Running the fizzle pipes or good ol hardpipes, their is a noticeable difference in throttle response

I was under the impression it would only be a noticeable difference on high boost applications. Thanks for the info I'll definitely be purchasing the upgraded hard pipes/silicon pipes

Here's my question on the fizzle do I have to run new water lines an vent them to atmosphere or can I just hook up to factory ports cause I read a forum on here that was talking about running new water lines an having to drill thru hull for the water exit an stuff. If it's a simply hook up to factory connections I'll buy one if it's more intense I might hold off

You have 1 additional dedicated 3/4" dump line you run, that's it.

If it's that simple then I guess I'll be purchasing a fizzle intercooler starting to get pricey thanks for the info I appreciate it

...if you want to save money dont get the exhaust , dont get me wrong my ski sounds great with the waterbox and thru hull but if you are looking to save some coin.....spend it on the fizzle pipes and cooler if you are looking for performance gains

Ive had just about every combination of mod from scom only to stage 2 plus imuk 8500 tune ...if you get scom only the only gain is loss of speed limiter..the fizzle cooler and pipes will eliminate most of your heat fade and loss of rpm so you should be able to see close to top speed in hot conditions...if i had to do it all over again what i believe is the best bang for the buck would be ....8300 tune w power filter and catch can with fizzle pipes and cooler...when i had this setup minus the fizzle parts i was seeing 78 on speedo...with full stage 2 plus imuk 8500 tune with thru hull and waterbox and fizzle parts i see 79/80 in the heat...is the extra 1 to 2 mph worth the extra money ? Well that depends , im happy with it but im done throwing money into this ski ..i love it the way it is and am going to enjoy riding it for another season...i am no mechanic but ive had many variations of mods to this ski and i am just offering my opinion... 1 more thing ...leave the stock prop in

Even an 8350 tune will be better value for money than any other mod you have listed.

But thank u davo94 I didn't know u could do a 8300 tune with no other mods an see performance gains I thought u would at least need a performance air intake. Good to kno
