before flattening your wallet, check the wiring harness and the connector plug carefully

for the purpose of a "see if it fires test" you won't damage the engine using the sc ecu, but you are wise being concerned about damaging the ecu.

like the missiles on the red ocotober, it's not wise to take pot shots using an ecu, a careful diagnostic reduces the risk considerably

Well thanks for checking back in! Being involved in a bunch of forums, I totally missed your original post. Still at a standstill. A number of people have said that it could damage the ECU and frankly, I'd rather have one ski dead than possibly two. Now that it seems to be an ECU issue, the question remains used, new, repair or dealer. Such an expensive component really makes me pause on the next step.

I am having same problem with 2007 rxt I have a twin so I was able to swap ecu no spark still.I am going to replace cps and see if that helps with known working one. ps. also no codes thrown or readable with candoo.

One of my standard ÔÇ£look atÔÇØ in a case like this is to determine if the console is reporting any engine rpm during cranking

It should be reporting 600 if memory serves me today

Measuring the cps resistance and then at the ecu plug is also a labor saver

Could be a wire hanging on by a few strands

Solid look at the exit connectors too given the current results

I deal with seadoo ecus everday. you can put the sc ecu on there marrie the gauge reset tb and crank. will it run rough and code out yes but you will know if you have a ecu issue. It wont hurt the ecu. I have had what seems like hundreds of bad ecu but thats how they came in or after sitting for a few months just go bad but i never had a working ecu go bad dureing testing swaping etc even when useing wrong ecu. never had a ski repeatly take out a ecu . but yes being caution is the right thang to do. as stated the wires could be barely hanging togather i seen alot corsion grow like mold under the wire jacket, take razor blade and cut and inspect the wire at different points,

Not sure if this thread is still running, I have exactly the same issue on a 2006 rxp, but I have the buds2 tool. I also own a 2006 rxt, so I put the ecu from the rxp in my rxt and it ran my working ski. Telling me it's not the ecu.
I can drive the pump, coils, with software, but no spark on cranking. I am currently checking other sensors that might inhibit the ecu from firing.
