    Sounds fishy, they aren't "in there" at all, they'll have the pump off which is required to change carbon seal but on top of that they'll have to remove a bunch of stuff from inside the hull.

    Unless this is warranty work, and they're covering the cost, I would not pay for this. Any reason to replace the carbon seal on a new ski like yours would/should be covered by warranty anyway.

      Thanks again and yea IÔÇÖm definitely not going there for work. IÔÇÖm looking into other options.

        Can't he just pull the current impeller and have it re-pitched for a few hundred more RPM for higher altitude? Why would any of the other items need replaced?

          Yes he can. None of the other parts should need to be replaced. I can see a wear ring needing to be replaced IF it is worn/damaged from debris. There is no reason for an almost brand new ski to need a new carbon seal.
