  • Damaged camshaft journals - Gti 130. 2012

    Hello everyone.

Seadoo Gti 130 2012, low oil pressure error that sometimes appeared caused me to start looking for a problem. Sensor, windings- plugs (they had a lot of rust) did not change the situation and I decided to disassemble the engine.

The first thing I found clear traces, oil in coolant and after dismantling the view as in the pictures.

The bottom of the engine is not yet demolished.

Have any of you already had such a case, does it make sense to repair such damaged heads?

That motor was probably under water at some point. If the top looks like that the bottom will be worse. It might be more economical to find a good used motor.

I'm back again, only this time after disassembling the pit. Shaft, bearings without signs of typical seizing, however, a single thicker scratch on the bearing and wear is visible. What is unknown to me is the discoloration on the shaft that is imperceptible under the finger - have you encountered this? The crankshaft will go to the measurement. The timing chain guide and this red silicone were also damaged 🤨 There was a lot of dirt on the rear pump strainer. The photos show the condition of both oil pumps
