Has someone checked how much space there is under the intake manifold if the stock intake tube is removed? 4" hose really won't fit through there anymore?

How safe is that when the ski is flipped or heavy amounts of water get splashed on it?

Yes they work amazing. I have a 6 inch hole drilled in to my engine compartment cover and holes under front cowlings. Oh and before people get there undies all in a bunch. That cover is only a $100 to replace.

I have heard that you can pick up 100 rpm or so. With just a SCOM, I'm already past the 8040 rpm soft limiter. I don't believe that my ski would run any more rpm with this, might actually drop if the I-control came more into play. Do you find that you need to raise the rpm limit to take advantage of this mod?
I can’t answer to that. I put the 3-to-4” shorty intake on my wife’s 300 (with a SCOM) and she literally never looks at RPM while she rides . I built a 3” shorty for my GPRXP and when it’s finished I’ll do a back to back comparison and swap the 3” to the 4” and compare logged runs.

I have that ordered from eBay now. But I just want to confirm this is the right parts to get along with the 4 in pipe. The only reason I'll get this is from what everyone is saying about the 4 ply.
