                exhaust kit

excuse my ignorance...this is my first PWC i've owned..so everything is new to me....I'm learning as I try things...
What I'm wondering is ...If I install the exhaust kit, will water be forced up into the pipe? I understand that the pipe is looped but, when I'm jumping waves my ski will come down into the water tail end first...thats alot of pressure being forced back into the pipe opening..

I've already had my splash gaurd ripped off and i installed it with lots of rivets and stainless steel bolts..

                thanks,

You don't have to worry about water being forced back up your exhaust. The exhaust exit location is also higher than the stock exit location.... no worries!!!

not only that.... you can wave jump all you want, sure SOME water may go back all the way thru the pipe, but it will NEVER make it's way all the way back into the motor or exhaust manifold. the water force would need to go thru the pipe, up the curve, and into the waterbox and fill up about 2-3 gallons of space in the waterbox befire it even started going back into the exhaust J pipe or exhaust manifold.

no worries tho... many of us been running the thru-hull for months now with ZERO problems. i love my exhaust do plenty of ocean riding and jumping as well.

                      thanks for the info......
I think I'd like to install the kit....but maybe after i finish with some add ons this year...
might think I'm nuts but I'm installing the fairing kit and a am/fm cd player radio on it this year, also gonna redo the mat on the rear swim platform..doing a gray mat with black wavehummer lettering...

I would like to do somethings to it to get more speed...it tops out at 70 mph...don't know how accurate that is...i'm just going by the digital read out on the ski

legit on radar/gps.. u are probably doing about 66.5 mph give or take a mph

you basically built a 05 Limited and customized it a little... probably would have been much cheaper to buy a limited to begin with than guy a green one and change it's appearance...

I did look at the limited, but it had too much gray color...I wanted one with as much black as possible so i could match it to my H2...
I spent about 1500 bucks for all the customizing...that includes, paint, seats, lettering, bumper trim, decals, new rear mat on swim platform...

that's very reasonable for all the work you've done! looks real good. I forgot that the whole upper deck of the 05 ltd is grey and not black for a moment there.

hey, did you have the rear mat done by a shop, or you did it yourself?

lookin good man! keep up the good work.

PS... don't paint the trailer. mine came out AWESOME and was very pleased with it. was glossy as a mirror and looks real good. it went to $hit real fast. i'm embarassed to take current photos. i rinsed it after every use, soaped it down, kept wax on it... it needs to be media blasted and re-done the RIGHT way.... powdercoat... but i'm gonna be selling it anyways for a double trailer in couple weeks
