i have the black wheel installed, yes it did flutter at low rpm, installed a bov as per certain knowledgeable members on here suggested, it corrected the flutter and been good since -
They have always fluttered. This is why I removed mine a long time ago. It did improve the ski though. It was nice,Leave a comment:

I’ve been using the RIVA XX impeller for almost a year now and it definitely flutters at partial throttle. Other than that it performs great and I’ve seen 89 mph consistently on the dash. Realistically, it should be 87 on gps. I do have a fizzle impeller that I’ll be trying soon.
I’m sure the flutter has no negative effects on performance or reliability but seeing as I do a lot of cruising at partial throttle I think the flutter would drive me mad

Fix that kink in your catch can hose. Won't help flutter though.Leave a comment:

Sounds exactly like the flutter people were describing with the previous wheels unfortunately, I was hoping this had been eliminated with the new ones.Leave a comment:

I may be wrong but I had assumed that maybe Fizzle was producing these Riva wheels? I thought he had taken over the ET stuff after Art passed away and these were released shortly after Fizzles new wheels, the designs look very similar other than the Rivas being 135+3mm and the fizzles 135+6mm
I may be completely wrong but that was my guessLeave a comment:

Well that’s good to hear. I looked again and did see that they say “made in North America” on the website.Leave a comment:

New ones are apparently machined in the US from 2618 US Forged Aluminium and are of a new design, different from the old ones. There is a watercraft journal video on YouTube EP106 discussing the new wheels with Dave Bamdas at RivaLeave a comment:

So where are they made? Where is the QC done? I’ve never seen any of those companies post pics/videos of the production and balancing of their superchargers. In fact I would have trusted the OLD Riva XX/ET wheels more because Art was making them in America on his 5 axis and selling them to Riva. Now…?Leave a comment:

Well they are not all created equal. I would buy from a trusted source. Saving a $100 bucks could shatter your IC and more.Leave a comment:

New? The blue anodized one on their website looks identical to every other made-in-China 135+3 clone wheel on the market (Aqua Jet, JL perf, eBay racing). They look like somebody sent an ET wheel to China for reproduction and now the factories there are selling them to anybody and everybodyLeave a comment:

Anyone running the new Riva XX supercharger impeller?
I’ve been considering a bigger wheel or a cam for a while now and wondering if anyone has been using the new Riva XX wheel for the 300 ?
I believe this is an all new design compared to the old XX/ET135 wheel so I’d be interested in any feedback on how it performs?
Some people encountered problems with flutter/shuddering on partial throttle with the old wheel so I’m hoping this has been resolved with the new design and isn’t an issue now.Tags: None
