  • Pros/Cons on tunes from: Riva or Reliable or Other

I’m looking to add some pep to my ‘23 Wake Pro 230 and maybe my ‘22 RXPX and I’m researching what parts or tunes I might like to go with. I’m new to skis and this place has been a wonderful resource so far for learning

Monitoring/logging is a must if you run lesser known tunes. Just check out the Yamaha section for what happens if you don't, meltdown.

Jesus has been tuning the Seadoos for years and he knows them like no other. People joke all the time and state this or that, but there is no company with so many proven set ups. Yes they are very reliable. 10’s of thousands of proven skis. Just do it and ride on happy.
sigpicDon't sweat the small stuff. Be happy! Ride on!

you need to look at it like this, you can have your ecu tuned from anyone of the tuning options out there for $500 or spend the $1000 on a maptuner that includes you picking the tune that is based on your mods, and if you choose to goto stage 2, 2 plus or even stage 3 you have you have access to those tunes at no cost to you, plus you can clear codes, and the maintenance light that will come on at set times,

If you log, Jesus will tune your ride into a speed monster. Its amazing to see the performance improvements as Jesus throws updated tunes to try out. But you have to log AFRs.

Been riding tuned supercharged Doo's since '04. I've flashed 6 skis and have never once had a mechanical problem.

He is the guy at Riva who writes the tunes.

Greg, keep in mind fine line behind having and not having any warranty on the motor God forbid something was to go wrong. Not saying this would be cause from a tune. Shit happens, you just have to know most dealers will put the ski on the Buds system if something internally was to come apart. Just know there is always some risk doing performance mods. But like Jerry, Troy and several others have mentioned hard to beat Tunes from Jesus and owning a MapTunerX. Keep us posted

Just an FYI... if it's not a Riva tune, or someone tuning with HP Tuners, most other tunes are Torx tunes being resold through people like Reliable, JP Racing, Wet Jet, etc..
