  • Question related to winterization

I have a Sea doo Gtr 2022, last year a knock sensor code appeared, I took it to the dealer and they said they don't think it's the sensor, it must be the fuel. Empty the tank, went all summer with this error that appeared intermittently. also changed the spark plugs, better, but with maximum acceleration it revs to 7900 for 1 second, after which it drops to 7400-7600, again it revs again and drops.
I talked to the dealer to schedule a service to change the sensor.
The answer was that he couldn't find the winterization invoice...
I didn't visit them for winterization, the jet ski stayed in the heated garage on the trailer in the city far from the water
The question is, will I lose my warranty if I don't winterize, has anyone heard of this condition? or is it that my dealer who doesn't want to take over the costs?

The dealer suspects that you've done something wrong to it.

Winterization is not just about freeze damage precautions.

Part of the process is servicing the machine (per BRP recommendations) and doing the required periodic inspections. It is the inspections and the servicing that maintain the warranty. The ‘winterization’ aspect is adjacent.

Most likely your intake manifold is split... when it bleeds out boost pressure the knock sensor is detecting false knock. This unfortunately is a common issue with our Seadoo skis. I see it happen to bone stock skis. The solution is to install an intake manifold girdle to prevent the manifold from splitting at the seam.

          thank you for the answer
I hope this is not the case, how can I prove this to the dealer, who, although he is the official Seadoo importer of my country, has not heard of the turbo clutch slip.

This is an extremely common issue, unfortunately. Your dealer can read about it all over the internet. It's the reason this product even exists. If it wasn't an issue, this product wouldn't exist.
Our Intake manifold Girdle Kit provides added strength to the Sea-Doo 1503 & 1630 Rotax engine intake manifold. The billet aluminum bracket clamps around the side of the manifold easily without drilling or grinding of the stock manifold providing extra support to the joint that is known to split under higher boost pressures on modified craft. Anodized to prevent corrosion and includes stainless hardware.Applications: All Supercharged Sea-Doo Models
