  • Oil catch can

What are you members doing with your oil catch cans,I installed mine and now there’s oil All in engine compartment.I ent for 2 rides say 2 hrs. And most of the oil seems to vapor past the filter into engine area.I literally had build up under motor where can was and everything is coated ..is there a pre filter ? Or a sealed option with out the small air filter

Make sure your oil level isn’t overfilled. Switch your catch can out with one that recircs back to the intake pipe instead of having a breather. Any universal catch can with baffles will work

My guess is that your engine is overfilled. If he had a recirculating style, his induction system would now be coated with oil. Run you oil level at the low mark to middle of the two kinks.

The 300 engine "produces" oil. What actually happens is the plasma coated cylinger walls do not seal off perfectly and there is a large amount of ring blowby. That allows a large amount of fuel to enter the crankcase raising the oil level. After only 25-30 hours, my 300s have 3% gas content in the oil. Don't start with the engine at the full mark following an oil change or you will be overfilled shortly. Also, if running a SCOM or a tune that allows the engine to run at higher sustained RPMs, you will greatly increase the blowby.
