  • Stored without rear access cover. Water in hull.

Hello I'm still a pwc newbie so plz excuse me if im stressing over nothing. So I have a 2019 rxt 300. Ride in fresh water only. I did not notice that the rear access cover cap had somehow come off and put it in warm inside storage for the winter. I only noticed when I just got it out of storage that the cover was gone. There was a decent amount of water and condensation in the engine compartment. I have not run it yet and did get it drained, dried out, and of course got a new cover cap on. Should I be concerned that the rear access was open for a long time and the resulting water sitting in the engine compartment all winter? Want to clarify again it is fresh water only and was stored in warm inside storage this past winter. Did not winterize.

How high did the water get? Did it cover part of the motor?

Probably Mix of riding without the rear access cape and it sitting outside without it too before i put in storage. Always had ski cover on though

I thought so......there are things to check before and after riding. Suggest reading the owners manual, if you have one.

Yes definitely a newbie mistake. Do you think what happened may have damaged or hurt the engine? Thats my main concern here really.

Did water get to the supercharger? Hard to say without seeing a picture of what was covered. Did you check the oil for any signs of water?

I agree with ptscon......but if all hose clamps are tight on the S/Cer, and the heated storage unit did not lose power, the engine should be ok. That said, be sure to charge the battery, and before tuning the engine over, remove the spark plugs, and check oil for water.

How much water is in the hull?
