  • 1995 Seadoo XP800 restoration

I decided to pick up this XP800 and try and bring it back to life. It was in sad shape but after seeing what some of the other members have done...I decided to take on the challenge !!!

I am going to get the reproduction decals as these were in pretty sad shape. Im still looking for a seatcover...the guy I bought the ski from gave me a spx seat with the ski...but I really want a factory yellow cover... Here are a few pics of the ski when I got it.... kind of sad.

I was told there were only 2500 1995 XP800's and that they are approx. 40lbs lighter than a 1996 XP. I do have a mint 1996 XP and it appears to have a much thicker top deck. The 1995 XP800 you can actually see light thru it

I have to tell you removing the decals is a all day job...even with a 3M Magic eraser....

Try part# 219902677 for the badge. It looks like it may be close, or maybe the same size.
I have seen original seat covers on Ebay every now and then, but they want $$$$$$.
2017 RXPX - add on wheelie bars
2013 RXTX - custom muffler bearing

2003 GPRXP - hybrid, runs on 93 octane or sweet tea

                        Slow. lol.
The weather has been holding me back mostly. It has been quite cold and wet here this winter.

Something tells me this ski isn't only going to be a 58 mph turd like the museum piece. Duke, you and I need to step up our game and gain about 1 mph to keep up with Patrick's new racer as it'll probably only go 62, lol.

Pretty sure I'm in the 61mph range with the latest update. Not worried about Pat's SS XP800. Lol!!
