97 sea doo xp 787 rfi swap

Hi everyone, new to the forums as of today. I have a 1997 sea doo xp that I bought a couple of weeks ago as a project with no motor, impeller, or mpem. I've been looking for a ski to swap an engine from to save some money, and I found a 98-01 gtx rfi with a 787 fuel injected. Not sure of exact year, as owner has wrong year listed. My question is, would this engine and impeller drop in to the original mounts on the 97? And will the mpem/ecu from the 98-01 ski work, and if not which one will I need, if any work, to get this running? Willing to spend a good amount on parts to get everything working once I have the motor for it. thanks everyone. update, might be checking out a burnt ski with a 951 di on Wednesday that's a little closer to me. Definitely going to be more of a headache from mounting it to maintaining it but I think I'll go for it for the increase in power. We'll see how it goes.
