      • Tommy is correct boost is a measurement of resistance. As you ad headers or something to an engine & it flows better boost will drop & power willl go up. Then you turn the boost back up! Haha

        • So guys I'm going to make an hole on the pump of my 2010 unit , I have the pump fixed to the ride plate , where is the best location on the pump to put a water line for the 30 plate heat exchanger ? Then I will route that water to center of the turbo and then to the turbo housing . What is the dimension requested for the hole that I have to make into pump ? What is the diameter of the fitting that I should use ?
          Thank you guys

          • Wh would you make a new hole just tap the strainer for a second line?

Best solution is to replace the pumpshoe, ride plate, and pump to the conventional stuff.

I know but the work load and budget for this season is already more than enough .... So I will stay with what I have . Untill now zero problem with this setup at 84 mph and 161 mm pump . Maybe this year I will not put too much pressure on the turbo and stay on the safe side . Aniway any suggestion on the water line location and dimemsion on the pump ?

The non-2010 pumpshoe is $45 US last time I checked, maybe more today. Your current ride plate can be utilized, and you could located a used pump for the conversion. Its not a difficult job, just time consuming. That said, i understand the why not concerning this.

Be sure to replace the hose from the pump to the IBR. Its a 1/2" (12.7 mm) hose. Send a pm to my friend Dave, aka whatnissan.....he can better explain the water routing for a 2010 TX, and if you wish to keep the water temp display on the dash.

                      • Hello guys , I have another question for you , since I'm going to put a S.s. 316 32 plate heat Exchanger ( with 1" ports for the cooling hoses and 1/2" for the external waterline ) to help the ride plate , do you think is better to put it on the thermostat hose or in the return hose of the ride plate ?

                        • Any help on this ? It is better to put the plate exchanger the after the thermostat or in the other hose coming from rideplate that go to the side of the water pump ? Here the picture of my 30 Plate heat exchanger in Stainless steel 316 :

From 1 side I keep the 1" diameter for the big pump hoses of the coolant , in the other side I will use 1/2 reduction for water from jet pump .

                          • Sorry I can't help with your question but I have used those heat exchangers and they are amazing. We used them a lot for biodiesel and keeping diesel from gelling.

                            • Hello All , what do you think if I use my heat plate exchanger with 1 side that use the 1" ports ( as per OEM internal diameter cooling line ) for the cooling liquid from thermostat and the other 2 ports with 1/2 " dimension ? Is it enough ? I have a water line coming from the Jet pump that is 1/2" .

Thank you and best regards ,
