      Hey Boys,

Can anyone tell me why a stock ic does not need to be cleaned or is this as stated earlier something that does not need to be done,

      Thanks Everyone

this thread pertains to running an 'Open Loop" system. your stock intercooler is closed loop. thus no debris can make it into your system besides salt water. either way save up and get yourself an external

the intercooler is not "closed loop" on his ski.. if it's fed by raw water (which it is) then it's open loop... and vulnerable to debris just like a an external intercooler... unless he has a strainer on his water intake.

Its all stock so no added strainer. The lake I run it on it very clean though.

              thanks

Got my ski apart to change the PTO seal so I definitely think I'll take on this project and remove the IC to clean it. Going to Home Depot to purchase the solution. I can run this solution thru both sides of the IC without any harm, right? I think I'm going to run blue dawn dish soap thru there as well to break down the oil residue.
