Here’s a quick “How To” on installing devices such as bilge pump’s, Innovate LC-1, LM-2 AFR O-2 sensors to a 2010 fuse box with stock wiring! Very clean slick install.
Order these parts from RIVA:
278002462 Accessory Harness for 2010 $12.99 (1 purple and 1 red wire with connectors)
278002599 Accessory Jumper for fuse box $4.99 (1 red wire with connectors)
*** NOTE: These part numbers are for 2010 ONLY - BRP changed the connectors for 2011-2012 ***
Fuse Box 1 (1-11) contains the “Switched Battery Bus” components. These are powered with 12v, ONLY after the ski is “waked up” or running with the DESS key installed. i.e. all Accessories. Note on the pictures there is a lot of room to add several accessories.
Fuse Box 2 (15-23) contains the “Hot Battery Bus” components. These are powered with 12v, constantly, regardless of DESS key ON or OFF. Note that the bottom row is available for several “Grounds”.
Any new device requires a ground either in Fuse Box 2 or on the engine block. And any device requires power from the “Hot Battery Buss or the Switched Battery Bus” to one leg of a fuse, then the other leg of the fuse goes to your device. Typically four “*” fuse box wire connectors required per device, unless grounded to engine block then three “*” connectors required.
Ground Bus * --- wire --- > to device ground
12v Bus source * --- wire --- * fuse * --- > wire to device
Use the Purple wire for your 12v source to your device, install the fuse box connector in one leg of the fuse and the other end to your device. Take the Red wire and install it into the other leg of the fuse, and the other end of the Red wire to “Hot Battery Bus or Switched Battery Bus” as desired.
I put my bilge pumps in the unused #3 spot, Depth Sounder, because I have them wired on the Hot Battery Bus as Auto-Off-On, and do not want the DESS key to be installed.
I put my LC-1 in the unused #16 spot, iBS slot, because I have it on the Switched Battery Bus, and ONLY want it ON when the key is installed and the ski is running. Note the LC-1 requires two separate grounds so I connected them to the engine block right below the catch can. There is a bracket to hold the original stock air box secure that is great grounding points! So only, 1 purple wire from fuse to LC-1, and 1 Red wire – fuse to bus, that’s it.
I know it sounds a little complicated but once you look under the fuse boxes it makes perfect sense. Good luck.
