  • coil/plug boot stuck

    Need some help guys.

    2020 Seadoo GTI SE 130

I was changing spark plugs, pulled the coil out and the boot stayed on the plug.

What's a good way to get them off?

    Thanks.

Thanks. I'll give it a shot in the morning.

Well, 2 were stuck. I got one out whole, but the other came out in pieces.

I've tried searching for where to find just the boot but not having any luck.

        Any ideas?

        Thanks.

Put a thin coat of DOW #4 on the porcelain of the plug to keep the rubber from bonding.

Thanks. Is that the same as the Dow 111? I've been reading about that.

Will I have to buy complete new coil sets to replace the boots?

Molycote 111 is thicker than #4. In this application, either will work, but I think #4 is easier to put on a thin coat.
