2005 Sportster LE 951 FI Compression Check

I attempted to do a compression check on this machine the standard way.
-remove the plugs.
-connect gauge.
-turn over engine.
results zero compression both cylinders.
I thought, maybe I needed to put a plug in the untested can.. for some reason…. Who knows…
nothing.

The boat will start and idle. It started quickly after two years of sitting. With “no compression”.

My question, what am I missing on the test. I verified the gauge. It didn’t even read 5 or 10.

And I know I should do more to the ski after sitting for two years, but this is the first check.

Well the ski will run 55 at 7k. So there’s compression.
Opcheck good.

Yuck.....a 951 Di. Replace all the fuel filters. On the skis there are 2 in the tank on the pump module and one inline. DO NOT buy them from Quantum fuel. Their module filter is offset backwards and their inline is for the wrong size hose. I've told them this TWICE and apparently they don't give a damn. The 951 Di needs 107psi steady to run right. Lower than about 103 and they start running lean and burn up a piston.
