Although the DIY seems cool and would have saved me about $100, I wasnt familiar with what I was doing so I ended up buying the Rude setup used. For someone that is familiar it would be well worth it.

The connector from the regulator to the OEM fuel pump is nothing more than a 2" long, 1/8" NPT brass nipple. The OEM fuel return chamber was blocked off with a fender washer and held in place with some sealant and slight pressure from the "screwed down" regulator. The only down side is having to drill and tap the OEM fuel pressure orifice for the 1/8" nipple... you can't go back to stock!move to the dark side...............RXT-X 2014

Tips and tricks
Just did this mod today. Figured I contribute to the team a little and post a "lessons learned".
First, and probably most impoortant, wait until your fuel tank is almost empty, as the fuel sending unit holds a lot more gas than you think.
Teflon tape is for little girls. Ensure all fittings are covered in pipe dope, and heed the warning of j2440 "pipe dope will not come out of a t-shirt"
Aside from these 2 little side notes, install was pretty smooth. I'm looking forward to getting the x charger in and making a few passes!sigpic

I mounted it just below the top deck. I drilled a hole through the lip and used a SS bolt with a lock nut. hasn't moved since. I placed it about 3" to the left (center of hull) of the mounting bolt for the seat cowling (same place Riva uses). It looks good, but as functionality goes, I kind of wish I would have done something else. It's impossible to see when riding. You have to get off the ski and stick your head into the hull to get a good idea. So, when I started checking if it was "rising", there was no way to get a visual confirmation. I ended up using a LM1 to check AFR instead. Overall I'm VERY happy with how it turned out. Hope this helps!
