New supercharger drive gear for quality improvement

Does it come stock with steel washers instead of ceramic? Heard a rumour it (255hp)does and if it's true then it's a very important upgrade.

I thought about buying a new one, but the used market is too good right now. I got a 2005 with 24 hours on it. I would be interested in the oil cap as well as I used the screw driver method the other day. I thought about a puller, but it ended up working oiut good with the screw driver. I replaced the O rings as well.

metal washers have been standard since last year in all Supercharged PWCs... 2008... that's nothing new for this year

to my knowledge, the sport boats may still actually have ceramics? i can't say 100% for sure... 08 models were still ceramic i believe, and the 09 did not mention whether they changed that yet. if they changed it, they would have mentioned it normally. so i'm skeptical about it.. all new sport boats might actually be ceramic, i got no idea? ... have not seen any textual information saying one way or the other

              rxp-x weight question

The weight was pulled out of the Hull itself. They optimized the thickness of the fiberglass in areas that it was unnecessarily thick.

THRILL, they did NOT optimize a damn thing! They took the fiberglass out of the pump tunnel area and WEAKEND it and caused many of us T-X and P-X owners, stress cracks and tears in the tunnel area!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                  2009 Rxp-X

Hello from Wa. I am new to the forum here and wow what a great site. My question is in regards to the previous post giving info on Hull stress fractures due to the lighter weight hulls that came out in 2009.

I recently ran across a deal here locally for a 2009 RXP-X, 2009 Trailor, which totaled with tax and license $12,500. I am feeling better about the price than compared to a few months ago. I have always tried to buy my ski off season for that exact reason and this would be my fifth new ski purchase. During my final decison making I ran across the issues brought forth in the forum on the stress fractures in the hull. I am amazed the dealers don't know there is a weight difference between the 08, and 09 models. When I inquired about it they told me it was a typeo and that the weight was unchanged. Does anyone have any more info on the stressed hull issue? This is the first I have heard of such an issue for the 2009 model. Also any word on if this is going to be addressed by Sea Doo or has it been addressed for the 2010 lineup? Is this issue primarily caused by ocean wave jumping? Thanks for your replies and input. I want to make sure I do my homework before I go and purchase this new ski.
