I reamed my water inlet reducer out 2MM approx. I understand this will allow more water to enter the IC and exhaust. I have read wear a tee has been added to circulate more water through the IC. How big should this bleed line be?

The bleed line is to eliminate air bubbles from the water passages. The tee is to direct any water pulled out with the air to enter back into the cooling system after the intercooler as to not take water from the exhaust.

Not necessarily. You will need to replace the resonator box with a 'free flow' pipe (2.5" dia. x 8.5" length) at minimum.

The instructions have been updated. A few were forgetting to seal the brass plugs on the newer 4-tec stock IC block-off plug so I added it in as a reminder.

How to anchor in Speedster?

I'm not sure how the speed gains translate to the sportboats, but the RPM gains will be the same as the skis. I have had atleast a 1/2 dozen people adapt this kit to their Seadoo boats. The bracket is not compatible and I include longer pipes so the intercooler positioning is more up to the customer. For these two reasons, there is a downward price adjustment.



Stock injectors are fine with the stock supercharger.

Mr. Fizzle, can you tell me anything about how these guys anchored the IC into the Speedster 150 SCIC? It sounds like you have a different kit for the Speedster. How can I get one?

I think I've come up with a good scheme for attaching the IC. Do you offer a kit with different tube lengths for the Speedster 150?

Also, do you have any tech information on the IC? Area, pressure drop at flow (I've seen the thread on this, I was just wondering if the manufacturer provided any data.), heat transfer coefficients, etc?

I didn't forget about you. I checked into this but didn't get much of a result yet. I'll send you what I have so far. I can get whatever piping and couplings you need. 18" and 24" of all types of bends if what I have isn't sufficient. What I have found is the boats go pretty well with a 24" straight pipe (cut down to proper length depending on mount) and a 45" pipe.

Pressure Drop = Less than 0.1 PSI -- Inlet/Outlet = 3.0" -- IC = 12" x 12.25" x 4.5" -- Core Size = 10" x 4.5" x 4.5" Maximum pressure = 70 PSI

There is airflow provided by user "Danny" comparing all of the common intercoolers used on the 4-tec motors.

A few questions before i get started

I want to be sure with everything before I get started in about a month or so. Which end on the Fizzle Xs is the water inlet and outlet. Im assuming the hole closest to the front when mounted is the inlet? does it matter? Then also, when installing the strainer, can i just splice it in the line coming from the transom anywhere on the line?

If someone could just give me a routing diagram, ie. transom to front of IC, back of IC to exhaust manifold, or opposite. Would help a lot.

Barry, it does not make a difference if you route the transom hose and exhaust hose to the front or back. I put the transom hose into the front and splice the water strainer in the middle of that hose. Let me know if you have any other questions.
