4Tec Knock sensor part numbers 270000484 420664031

I think my knock sensor is playing up on my 2012 RXP-X260 , So phoned my Sea-Doo dealer and told him what ski it was and he said yeah all 4Tec's are the same i got one so before set off i checked the part number and price on Jerry's OEM parts finder very handy thanks Jerry http://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche....NTAKE-SILENCER
I drove the 90 miles to him the part number should be 420664031 but when i looked at the part number on the bag with the knock sensor in the part number was 270000484 ,
I told him that was not the correct one for my ski , He said i was wrong saying i should not trust the "Internet" better to let a dealer get the correct part lol ,
I insisted he checked the part number and reluctantly he did only to hear him mutter " Well il be dammed your part number is correct" lol ,after looking into it it turns out the 270000484 part number is for early 4Tec's up to about 2009ish depending on model i think it must be for Siemens system and my ski is Bosch system .The funny thing is they looked identical ,
Anyone know if you can interchange them and work correctly ?
I did not want to buy and fit the wrong one in case it did not work as i could not return it , So fair play to the dealer he had a brand new 2014 RXP-X260 in the show room with the correct part number 420664031 he removed it and gave it to me saying he would order a new one and refit it to the new ski ,
Okay he got it wrong but made good and learned something as well lol , so it never hurts to do your home work lol,
So anyone know if you can interchange them ?,

Before you go changing parts out, cant you shut the knock sensor off and see how the ski performs then?

According to the logs my knock sensor is not working and running crap so i checked the wiring with Nils help and all seams well , Nils said the knock needs to work for my ski to perform well
