Toyota Scion XB towing my Sparks.

My new tow hitch from etrailer.com mounted on a 2005 Scion XB. I haven't had a chance to give it a test drive because my girlfriend has the keys, but i will take it around the block later and see how it does. Any questions or comments?

For sure!! Took it out and it tows just fine. Uphill like a breeze. I figure dry weight with trailer should be under 1000lbs.

Mint! I've got a 2011 Toyota Rukus (what the new Scion is called in Australia) and now I know I'll be able to tow my Spark with no issues when we get it in September.

I know this is an old thread. I'm new here.. How does it handle the boat ramp? I just bought a 07 XB that had the tow hitch already. I have a single 07 Honda Aquatrax jetski I want to take out

No, you cannot tow 1050 pounds with a 2005 scion XB. Maximum is 1000lbs up to 1000m/3280ft elevation.
1000lbs includes the weight of every person in the car as well the weight of the towed items and fuel/gear.
