  • Any tool for impeller shaft and nut?

    HavenÔÇÖt anybody make up a tool loosen the impeller shaft nut easy? To hold the flat sides of the shaft at the same time as you loose the nut.
    So you donÔÇÖt have to tourqe the impeller hard?

    Or a nice tool to clamp the impeller shaft in a vise? The shaft is to soft to mount hard in I viseClick image for larger version

      Ive have and every shop and most every person just clamps the flat side of the shaft in a vise. Use impeller tool and unscrew. Don’t over think what is supposed to happen and try and reinvent the wheel..

        I've done it as per the shop manual instruction many times, no issues.

          Yes it sure work.. But if the impeller shaft is stuck so you have to use the BIG drag shaft to loose it. Its get very wobbly just to have it on the flat sides of the shaft.
          Thats why I wonder if someone has come up with some smart solution to make it more stable

            I actually broke a vise trying to undo mine the first time. I put a bigger vise in there and it was fine.
