  • 2022 spark - water spray in hull because of carbon ring!!! - when you add tune

    Hi!
Who else has experienced that when you add some RPM - 110 tune?
I know you will say because of bad alignment - but is checked
Old style never done that when in good condition!
I like to be dry inside - especially on sparks where is closed hull!

There is no carbon ring on the Spark.

      Edit:
Apparently there is on newer models.

as i said - new style shaft/carbon seal is from 2021! Actually end of 2020! So just a few have experience and tested those with tune and stress of race conditions on rough sea!

I don't see how the tune has anything to do with the leak other than maybe slightly higher rpm. I would definitely focus on the seal. You said that the engine is aligned, does the ring/hat wobble at all when you rotate the shaft? Have you looked at the surface of the hat since the leak started?
