Have the stock impeller and last year we got a small stick maybe 1/2 inch by 2" max wedged in the impeller against the wear ring. This happened twice with the same size stick! The end of the impeller cut into the stick and wedged it against the wear ring. We were able to limp back home but could only idle back. Any attempt to go faster wouldn't work as it seemed to cavitate. It was wedged fairly tight and took about 45 mins to remove.
Is there any recommendation for an impeller that is squared off where it meets the wear ring as opposed to tapered like the stock?
Thanks,
Mike
