I'm undecided as to which trailer to get. Anyone currently using either one for an SUV? If so can you post pics or give your thoughts?

The Triton Elite is the nicer trailer.
The torsion axle makes for a smooth ride and the hardware is all stainless steel on the Elite model.
I think the Elite is also longer which makes for easier towing and better control when backing down a launch ramp.
I have a double Triton Elite, which I am quite happy with.
I don't have the SUV hull but I have no doubts it would fit nicely, given the adjustable bunk brackets on the Triton trailers. -
Drove 450 miles round trip today to pick up 1 of a dealer's last 2 2013 Elite Triton trailer today. Long day but well worth it. As soon as I get my SUV on it I'll post pics. FYI the Elite was discontinued for 2014, if anyone is thinking about getting one you might want to get one soon.Comment

You want the bunks as far apart as possible while still fitting between the hull ridges.
The triton trailer brackets for the bunks have two or three height positions. Set the brackets to the lowest bunk position that will still allow the hull to clear the fenders.
If you spray Liquid Rollers or similar bunk lubricant onto the bunk carpet (let it dry for a few minutes) it makes it much easier to slide the hull on and off the trailer while you fine tune the bunk positions.
I did not know that Triton was no longer making the single PWC Elite trailer. Too badComment

Actually the replacement model the LTCW1-TXS is more trailer for the same money. The new model includes LED lighting and has built in ratcheting tie downs. Both are standard. It is the same length as the Elite and also has torsion suspension. If you want the stainless hardware the dealer needs to call Triton and request as it is not on their dealer cost sheet. The "X" in the above model number indicates stainless hardware.
I had a 2014 Elite on order and the dealer let me know it was no longer being offered and that he was replacing with the model above at no additional charge.Comment

LED lighting as standard should already be standard across the industry, imho.
I am curious what these included tie downs actually are.Comment

Does it have the same load weight ratings, or possibly increased?

Not sure about the tie downs either and there is no picture on the Triton website.
I am not picking mine up until mid April but will take some pictures then.
Website said the axel is galvanized. Is that the same as the Elite?Last edited by K447; 03-19-2014, 08:06 PM.Comment

The elite trailer measures 199" and has a load rating of 2000 lbs. well at least the 2013 does. The tie downs are ratchet straps that are mounted to the back of the trailer. The replacement the dealer is speaking of is not the same as the Elite. The dealer I purchased mine from had 1 more elite left. Let me know if you want their number.Comment
